Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) is seeking an individual to join our DCT Finance Team for an exciting and rewarding opportunity as a Financial Services Manager! This position will provide direction and expert knowledge to DCT financial management staff involved in accounts payable, financial services projects, estate claims, financial compliance and client banking functions.

Primary responsibilities:

Maintain sound DCT financial policies consistent with all applicable federal and state laws, rules and regulations and acceptable accounting procedures through accurate reporting and data distribution.

Manage the risk assessment development and implementation process to assure strong financial controls exist within DCT.

Provide policy and administrative direction to patient/client banking services to assure the appropriate protection and accounting for client funds.

Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated leadership experience. Leadership experience can include:

Experience as a supervisor, lead worker, team lead, project lead;

Completion of a State of Minnesota leadership program (e.g. ELI, L4);

A paid/unpaid position leading a program or chairing a committee (e.g. ERG) - experience must include:

1+ year of experience identifying issues, goals and strategic actions

100+ hours per year time commitment

AND

Five (5) years of supervisory experience in finance, accounting, information technology and business systems demonstrating the following:

Advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Advanced knowledge of reimbursement principles, accounts receivable management and contract management

Advanced knowledge of healthcare systems, data privacy and HIPAA laws and regulation

Experience in clinical and operational healthcare

Experience reading and interpreting state and federal laws, rules, and requirements and operationalizing changes in fiscal or reporting requirements.

Supervisory experience assigning priorities, development of staff, and process improvement.

Experience with program planning and administration

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, healthcare administration, finance, accounting, or related field

Knowledge of governmental procurement standards and regulations and federal and state budgetary and legislative processes
