Overview

Join to apply for the Human Resources Manager role at Kuehne+Nagel. We are seeking an onsite HR Manager with advanced interpersonal and communication skills to be an integral part of site HR functions in Southaven, Mississippi.

Responsibilities

• Manage all local HR activities in support of exempt and non-exempt employees.
• Plan, coordinate, and direct the HR functions of the site; maintain a conflict-free workplace and enhance job satisfaction.
• Be visible on the floor to engage with employees and check the pulse of the workplace.
• Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, and other issues.
• Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures.
• Work with department managers on HR matters and support current and future business needs through leadership and consulting.
• Obtain and retain a competent, empowered, motivated workforce.
• Track staffing levels, deployment, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, compensation, and promotions.
• Utilize Kronos for payroll data and benefits administration; analyze relevant data.
• Assess training needs and manage training programs; oversee a performance appraisal system to drive high performance.
• Drive a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion and maintain confidentiality and sound judgment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent.
• 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including 4+ years in logistics, distribution, or manufacturing.
• 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of HRIS systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, UltiPro, Kronos).
• Advanced knowledge of EEO, Compensation and Benefits, FMLA, FLSA, Labor Relations, and OSHA.
• Experience leading/implementing DEI programs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional investigation and conflict resolution experience.
• HR certification is preferred.
