About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Cyber Defense to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and evolution of cybersecurity processes that safeguard the business operations and product development initiatives. This role is pivotal in serving as the primary cybersecurity advisor across multiple business units, ensuring alignment with organizational risk and resilience goals. The VP will also lead incident response efforts, including advanced investigations into cyber incidents, and will be instrumental in producing detailed reports with recommendations to enhance the company's overall cyber defense posture.
Candidates for this role at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a Master’s degree preferred, and at least 6 years of experience in cybersecurity. A strong understanding of cybersecurity infrastructure, tools, and technologies is essential, as is a proven track record in managing security events and incidents. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to convey complex security concepts to diverse audiences, and professional certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, GIAC, ISC2, or ISACA. Experience with legal and compliance requirements in cybersecurity is a plus. The role requires a proactive approach to staying current on emerging threats and vulnerabilities, as well as the ability to prioritize threat analysis and coordinate appropriate responses. Collaboration with IT, legal, compliance, and business units is key to aligning cybersecurity efforts with the company's objectives.
