The Company is seeking a Chief Facilities Director and Bond Program Officer to join its dynamic team. This cabinet-level leadership role is pivotal in ensuring the safety, modernization, and responsiveness of the company's 36 school sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic leadership in all aspects of facilities operations, capital projects, and bond program oversight. Key responsibilities include day-to-day oversight of the Maintenance & Operations department, monitoring and supporting bond-funded projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory codes, and leading with high-level communication and transparency. The ideal candidate will be a proven facilities leader with a strong background in public school facilities management, a solutions-oriented approach, and a commitment to the company's culture of collaboration and customer service.
Applicants for the Chief Facilities Director and Bond Program Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in a related field, with at least 5 years' experience in public school construction and facilities operations, including 3 years in a management role. Strong knowledge of state and local regulations, as well as experience in budget management, and the ability to build strong, trust-based relationships are essential. The role requires a leader who can prioritize safety, modernization, and beautification projects across the school sites, while balancing resources and capacity. The candidate should be proactive, highly communicative, and capable of mentoring and developing team capacity. A valid California driver’s license and the ability to travel between sites as needed are also required.
