About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join its senior leadership team. The COO will be responsible for ensuring the efficient execution of the CEO's vision by overseeing daily operations across key departments, including education, residential and medical services, clinical programs, and facilities management. This role involves directing staffing, recruitment, and training initiatives to support workforce development, as well as leading major strategic projects and facility expansions. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' programmatic and operations management in a large, growth-oriented, relevant not-for-profit setting, with a preference for experience in the healthcare and/or human service sector. They should be financially sophisticated, innovative, and tech-savvy, with a proven track record of managing a comprehensive operational strategy to advance an organization's mission and goals.
Candidates for the COO position at the company should be capable of serving as a trusted strategic advisor and partner to the CEO and Board, with the ability to influence and engage direct reports and peers. The role requires a clear understanding of large, high-profile, complex not-for-profit settings, and the capacity to establish and reach ambitious goals and objectives. The successful candidate will be an effective communicator, with strong presentation skills, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality while demonstrating cultural awareness and sensitivity. A Master's degree or higher in business or healthcare administration or a related field is required, and the ability to travel occasionally is necessary. The COO will also be expected to work closely with an engaged board of directors and appropriate board committees.
