A Day in the Life:
The
CNA
works collaboratively with the Vice President of Nursing, Director of Nursing, Neighborhood Nurse Managers, Therapy and Resident Enrichment to ensure residents in the Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center receive the highest practicable quality of care that meets or exceeds federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulatory requirements, and creates an environment in which children, families, and team members thrive.
Full-time and Part-time Shifts Available:
1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
2nd Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Responsibilities:
Assist residents with mobility, feeding, and personal care within the CNA scope of practice, ensuring their comfort and well-being Engage with residents in a way that's tailored to their needs, fostering therapeutic connections and brightening their day Help organize enriching activities and maintain a clean, welcoming environment for residents to thrive in. Participate and assist with onsite and offsite activities and appointments which can include physically assisting with resident mobility and transfers. Follow safety and infection control procedures diligently, prioritizing the health and safety of residents and staff Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English Demonstrated use of good judgment, clinical expertise, and effective communication skills to deliver top-quality resident care Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating flexibility, integrity, and compassion when caring for individuals with diverse backgrounds and functional abilities Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with nursing and other department personnel High School Diploma or equivalent Current CPR / Basic Life Support certification for healthcare providers, provided if needed Current State Registered Nurse Aide certification (Certified Nurse Aide) in good standing with the Kentucky Board of Nursing / State Nurse Aide Registry, required What you'll receive as a valued member of Home of the Innocents:

-Total service recipients in 2024: 3,562 -Campus size: 22 acres located near downtown Louisville -Residential Treatment Program: Second largest in Kentucky -Only dedicated emergency shelter in the city -13 different programs serving children and families, providing services such as: -Therapeutic and residential treatment for youth with complex -behavioral and emotional needs -Emergency shelter for children in crisis -Foster care and adoption support -Community-based behavioral health programs
-Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center (KCC): Only facility in Kentucky serving medically complex young adults and children, and 1 of only 12 in the nation.
