Senior Architect (Guidewire Policy Center)
will be responsible for strategic planning, solution architecture, and technology leadership for enterprise-level Guidewire Policy Center implementations. This role involves developing roadmaps, driving design reviews, managing technical risk, and mentoring solution architects while ensuring compliance with enterprise architecture standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead
strategic planning and road mapping
for Guidewire Policy Center projects Deliver project documentation including
Technical Design and Architecture Review Board submissions Manage business, application, information, and technology architecture tenants across projects Develop
reference architectures, compliance rules, and enterprise principles Drive reuse of technologies and processes across multiple projects Evaluate architecture components and manage technical risk and dependencies Integrate new technologies into ongoing projects for scalability and efficiency Ensure
conformance to enterprise software portfolio guidelines Mentor and guide Solution and Senior Solution Architects in career and skill growth Key Measures of Success:
Delivery of clear technical designs and solution patterns Creation of measurable roadmaps with defined milestones Influence and adoption of enterprise architecture standards Required Skills & Competencies:
Expert-level solution architecture skills Excellent
communication, facilitation, and negotiation
abilities Strong planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to translate
business requirements into technical solutions Knowledge of SOA, object-oriented design, and client/server systems Understanding of financial implications of solution alternatives Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies Core Competencies:
Conceptualization and innovation Results-driven attitude with enterprise perspective Consensus-building and facilitation Leadership and foresight in short/long-term planning Strong logic, communication, and influencing skills Required Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, System Analysis, or related field (or equivalent) 10+ years in the IT industry, with 5+ years as a
Senior Solution Architect Proven solution design and development expertise Direct experience with
Guidewire Insurance Suite Policy Center Background in
cloud migration, API integration, MFA, SSO, and performance tuning Broad understanding of Property/Casualty insurance systems Nice-to-Have Experience:
Professional certifications in architecture frameworks (TOGAF, SAFe, etc.) Prior experience in large-scale, multi-system integrations Advanced insurance product knowledge with impact across systems Benefits:
