About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on People Operations Specialist with 4-6 years of experience in CPG, food manufacturing, or related industries to join our People & Culture team. This function reports directly into the Chief People & Culture Officer, giving you visibility into executive-level priorities while allowing you to build broad, cross-functional HR experience.
In this role, you'll support the Director of People Operations, HR Business Partners, Sr. Manager of Talent Management, and Payroll Manager. You'll gain exposure to every part of HR, from systems and analytics to employee relations, compliance, benefits, payroll, LOA, workers' comp, EHS, learning & development, talent management, and culture & engagement.
A key part of your work will include analyzing data, preparing reports, and creating polished PowerPoint presentations that help senior leaders - including the CPCO - make informed, data-driven decisions.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000 annually DOE
A Day in the Life
Support the People Operations Team
Partner with the Director of People Operations to execute priorities across HR systems, compliance, and employee programs. Provide responsive HR support to employees and managers across corporate, plant, and distribution sites. Partner with HR Business Partners
Assist HRBPs with documentation, tracking, and coordination of employee relations cases. Support HRBPs in administering Leaves of Absence (LOA), workers' compensation cases, and EHS initiatives. Help ensure compliance across both union and non-union workforces. Collaborate with Talent Management
Support the Sr. Manager of Talent Management in talent reviews, succession planning, and career development initiatives. Assist with the performance review cycle, including communications, scheduling, and tracking. Help coordinate leadership development and learning programs. Partner with Payroll Manager
Support the Payroll Manager in managing time & attendance systems, ensuring accurate tracking for union and non-union employees. Assist with union wage management, including verifying rates, shifts, and contract-driven pay rules. Partner cross-functionally to ensure data flows accurately between HR systems, payroll, and finance. HR Systems, Analytics & Reporting
Maintain and audit employee data in UKG (UltiPro) and other HR systems. Prepare timely reports, dashboards, and workforce analytics to support decision-making. Develop PowerPoint presentations for leadership meetings, HR updates, and board reporting. Support HR system testing, implementation, and optimization projects. Employee Experience & Engagement
Help deliver seamless onboarding and offboarding experiences. Support employee engagement programs, DEIB initiatives, and cultural events. What You Bring to the Team
4-6 years of HR generalist experience, ideally in CPG, food manufacturing, or a related industry. PHR preferred Strong analytical and Excel skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Experience supporting payroll and timekeeping systems, with exposure to union wage management preferred. Hands-on experience with UKG, ADP Workforce Now, or similar HRIS systems; implementation support a plus. Knowledge of California employment law; experience in union environments strongly preferred. Exposure to talent management, LOA, workers' comp, and EHS programs. Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience building executive-ready PowerPoint decks. Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). Why You'll Love This Role
