Location: Tucson, AZ (Onsite)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (with potential overtime during initial launch period)

About the Role
Our client is seeking an organized and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to support our growing transportation operations in Arizona. This is a hands-on, early career HR position where you’ll play a critical role in ensuring compliance, supporting onboarding, and engaging directly with drivers and staff as we launch and scale a newly awarded long-term contract.
This role is 100% onsite and will be central to creating a smooth experience for employees and leadership during a pivotal time of growth. You’ll work closely with local leadership and visiting teams in a dynamic environment where adaptability and initiative are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Support new hire onboarding including I-9 verification, new hire packets, e-Verify, and Workday navigation
- Assist with recruitment activities , primarily hiring and screening drivers
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies and safety standards
- Handle day-to-day HR generalist tasks , including benefits questions, data entry, and employee file audits (driver licenses, certifications, etc.)
- Act as a resource for employees with questions on HR systems, policies, or processes
- Partner with managers to ensure compliance with HR and operational requirements
- Engage directly with drivers and staff, offering approachable and solutions-oriented support
What We’re Looking For
- 1–2 years of HR experience (coordinator, assistant, or generalist-level work)
- Experience with I-9 verification and onboarding processes
- Familiarity with Workday or other HRIS systems preferred
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel required)
- Knowledge of e-Verify, and HR compliance standards preferred
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and credibility with both leadership and frontline employees
- Ability to take initiative, push back when needed, and support compliance while remaining approachable
