Genesis10 is seeking a Business Analyst for our mortgage services client in McLean, VA. This is a contract position requiring 5 days a week onsite.
Summary and Responsibilities:
Develop solutions for data reporting requirements and data issues using DataStage, Mainframe COBOL, Unix, and Python scripting.
Perform root cause analysis and resolve existing issues.
Identify process gaps, improve processes, automate manual tasks, and enhance application stability.
Analyze data issues, develop solutions based on business requirements, prototype, test, and deploy.
Modify DataStage ETL, Unix jobs, Mainframe COBOL, and Python automations.
Support applications in a 24x7 production environment as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
5-8 years of experience in ETL, UNIX, shell scripting, Control-M, SQL (DB2/Sybase/Oracle), Jira, Bitbucket, and Mainframe COBOL.
Strong troubleshooting and development skills.
Team player with a positive attitude.
Innovative, willing to take on challenges with calculated risks.
Experience with SDLC methodologies, including Agile.
Quick learner of new technologies.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Python, DataStage, Unix, Mainframe COBOL.
Experience in 24x7 production support.
Mortgage industry experience.
Pay Range:
$65.00 - $68.00 per hour
