Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechanic to join our team in Sylacauga, AL. This role is responsible for the service and repair of a wide range of equipment, including earth-moving machinery, diesel engines, electric power generators, lift trucks, and other related products. This position requires both independent work and collaboration with a team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform minor repairs using proper tools and procedures.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic systems, using diagnostic tools as needed.
- Conduct Preventive Maintenance (PM) services in accordance with factory specifications.
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble basic components such as engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Properly order and return parts in a timely fashion.
- Utilize service information systems accurately.
- Adhere to all safety policies, regulations, and procedures.
- Work independently on customer job sites when required.
- Replace defective components as directed.
- Conduct facility maintenance as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Communicate with customers to assess issues and determine repair solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations, including DOT and OSHA standards.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 1 year of experience in mechanical repair or a combination of technical education and experience.
- Basic computer literacy and typing skills are required.
- Intermediate knowledge of engine, transmission, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Ability to diagnose and repair with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic software and service systems.
- Experience with Dossier Fleet Maintenance software is a plus (training available).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Commitment to safety and compliance.
- Work is conducted both in-shop and on-site at customer locations.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions and physical risks associated with heavy equipment repair.
- Prolonged periods of standing on hard surfaces may be required.
- Must be physically capable of lifting and maneuvering equipment and parts.
