$120,000 – $145,000 base + bonus (DOE) What You’ll Do The
Accounting Manager
will play a key leadership role within the corporate finance team. This individual will oversee core accounting operations, ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, and support the company’s efforts to scale systems and processes in line with its rapid growth. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong public accounting foundation and industry experience who thrives in a fast-paced, high-impact setting. Key Responsibilities: Lead the monthly and quarterly close process to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial schedules
Maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
Oversee technical accounting areas including revenue recognition, equity, and R&D accruals
Manage and mentor accounting staff, supporting professional development and team performance
Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, R&D, supply chain, and other departments to ensure alignment of financial data
Prepare audit schedules and act as the primary liaison for external auditors
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and scalability
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls
CPA license (active or in progress strongly preferred)
Background in public accounting (Big 4 or large firm experience strongly desired)
Experience within the life sciences and/or biotech industry is a plus
Proficiency in ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP
Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets
Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills
Proven ability to lead and collaborate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Experience in a high-growth or pre-IPO company environment is a plus
