We are looking for a detail-oriented Business Analyst I to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will act as a bridge between business units and IT, ensuring that technical solutions align with business needs. This position requires a strong understanding of business processes and IT systems, as well as the ability to translate business requirements into actionable technical specifications.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary liaison between business units and IT teams to ensure effective communication and alignment of goals.
• Analyze business operations to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for process automation.
• Assist in the redesign and documentation of business processes to support the implementation of new technologies.
• Translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications for IT development.
• Manage and document changes to business requirements and functional specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
• Educate IT teams on business strategies and objectives to ensure technology solutions support organizational goals.
• Facilitate negotiations and agreements between business stakeholders and IT teams from initial requirements gathering to final implementation.
• Stay updated on technological trends to propose innovative solutions that enhance business competitiveness.
• Provide recommendations on build-versus-buy decisions for technology solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and system integration.• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in a technical or business analysis role.
• Strong communication and documentation skills to effectively convey requirements and solutions.
• Proficiency in analyzing business operations and identifying opportunities for improvement.
