This specialty insurance company is looking for a Business Analyst to join their product team. This role will focus on a large digital transformation project of their underwriting work bench. Additionally, this BA will help with process improvements, requirements gathering on a project basis, and acting as a liaison between Business & IT teams. The digital transformation project includes insurance policy and billing system integrations and configurations, implementing new lines of business and companies into corporate policy and billing platforms, insurance web portals, reporting and documenting generation projects. A strong candidate will have insurance industry experience, strong knowledge of SDLC, and strong business analysis experience.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze business requirements for large-scale projects related to insurance policy admin, policy rating, and related systems.
  • Act as a liaison between Business and IT teams to ensure clear understanding and delivery.
  • Support process improvement efforts and participate in digital transformation initiatives for underwriting work streams and related platforms.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define scope, acceptance criteria, and success metrics.
  • Contribute to documentation, reporting, and configuration efforts across policy, billing, portals, and related integrations.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Business Analysis experience
  • Strong requirements gathering experience
  • Experience with large-scale customer solution projects that include heavy custom development
  • Excellent communication skills when working with high-level stakeholders
  • Ability to thrive in a fluid environment with evolving priorities; insurance industry experience with knowledge of insurance policy administration systems, rating, P&C, etc.
