Job Description:
The selected candidate will be supporting the analysis and requirement gathering needs for the Alto digital banking application project. They will work to define business requirements to inform technology build and operations by sourcing and analyzing relevant data, reviewing, and documenting business processes and collaborating with business stakeholders. The selected candidate will have a strong background in modern banking platform (MBP), digital one (D1), agile/waterfall methodology, and stakeholder management.
Role Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Perform analysis on business and technical requirements provided.
- Facilitate the session(s) to gather all requirements/create the user stories.
- Document confirmed requirements/work with Product Owner on User Stories.
- Provide clarifications and support to project team during design, development and testing phases.
- Understand Software Development Life Cycle and can effectively perform BA tasks for each of the project phases.
- Elicit requirements and analyze feasibility to ensure solutions/initiatives achieve the expected business outcomes.
- Support various project teams across the project lifecycle to ensure development is aligned with the business requirements.
- Develop informative, coherent, and usable project documents (project artifacts) for multiple stakeholders covering functional and non-functional business requirements.
- Apply depth of domain & functional expertise for the assigned portfolio to drive the expected business value.
- Break down strategic problems, and analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
- Become SME and provide support during various phases of Testing and Post-Production validation.
- Provide specialized consulting, analytical and technical support.
- Exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
- Work independently and regularly handle non-routine situations.
- Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
Required Skills:
- 8-10 years of business analysis experience.
- D1 (Digital One) - Working experience with Digital Banking Platforms including account opening and account servicing products.
- Modern Banking Platform experience - Prior experience with FIS Modern Banking Platform and Digital One products.
- Relevant post-secondary degree, and any agile certifications a strong asset.
- Experience with Jira / Confluence, MS Office, and Visio.
- Experience working with a SaaS based product.
- Experience with ancillary banking systems (GL, sanctions, money movement, ACH).
- Strong knowledge of requirement gathering methods including interviewing, data modeling and business process modeling.
- Professional demeanor and comfortable managing stakeholders of any seniority.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Strong relationship-building and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent critical thinking/analytical/problem solving and organizational skills; ability to analyze issues/requests and determine next steps.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills.
- Demonstrates transparency and willingness to share knowledge and best practices.
