Overview

USG Corporation is seeking an IT Technical Specialist in Chicago, IL with the following requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or Computer Science or related field or foreign equivalent degree. 5 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for the installing, patching, upgrading, configuring, and maintaining of Oracle E-Business Suite 12i and Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c) to ensure system stability, performance, and security.
• Support Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Data Guard, and disaster recovery procedures for high availability and business continuity.
• Provide support for third-party applications like Vertex, Noetix, and I Scramble, ensuring optimal integration.
• Administer Oracle ERP applications, including Financials, Supply Chain, and HR/Payroll, ensuring optimal performance.
• Support OBIEE implementation and manage systems in Unix/Linux and Windows environments.
• Use expertise in UNIX shell scripting, Oracle ASM/RAC databases, and support third-party applications like GRC, Hyperion, Apex, and Excel4apps.
• Use Oracle Enterprise Manager and other tools (Grafana, Zabbix, ServiceNow) to monitor the availability and performance of Oracle EBS applications and databases.
• Perform database upgrades from Oracle 11g/12c to 19c, ensuring minimal downtime, and implement, configure, and maintain OID (Oracle Internet Directory) and OAM (Oracle Access Manager) for managing identity, authentication, and authorization for Oracle applications.
• Analyze and resolve performance issues across Oracle EBS application, concurrent manager, and database tiers, providing 24x7 Level 2 support for business-critical applications.
• Manage database space, conduct capacity planning, and perform tasks like cloning, backup/restore, and patching.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or Computer Science or related field or foreign equivalent degree.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Required Skills: Oracle E-Business Suite 12i; Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c); Oracle RAC, Data Guard; third-party applications like Vertex, Noetix, I Scramble; OBIEE; Unix/Linux and Windows environments; UNIX shell scripting; Oracle ASM/RAC; GRC, Hyperion, Apex, Excel4apps; Oracle Enterprise Manager; Grafana, Zabbix, ServiceNow; OID and OAM; performance analysis; 24x7 Level 2 support; capacity planning; cloning, backup/restore, patching.

Compensation

Salary: $120,000-$135,000/year.

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
