Job Summary:
Medstar Health is seeking a Psychotherapist to join our team! The ideal candidate will have the ability to work on clinical teams, experience with tele-mental health service delivery, a strong background in evidenced-based psychotherapy (both brief and long-term), and skills in multicultural psychotherapy, providing culturally informed mental health care to traditionally underserved groups.

Primary Duties:
Serve as the intake coordinator, conducting outpatient diagnostic intake evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults. Meet weekly with the behavioral health team to review diagnostic findings, treatment planning, and care management. Report on behavioral health care aspects.
Provide culturally informed outpatient psychotherapy for children, adolescents, adults, parents, and caregivers, including individual, couples, family, and group therapies. Common issues include depression, anxiety, ADHD, stress-related disorders, substance use, and chronic disease behavioral health concerns.
Coordinate care for patients and families receiving evaluation and treatment, including referrals within and outside the team, and liaising with schools and educators as needed.
Provide outpatient psychotherapy for women in prenatal and postnatal care as part of the team.
Participate in academic programming such as case conferences, grand rounds, training, and meetings.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Clinical Social Work, Professional Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited program.
Completion of clinical internship and supervised hours sufficient for licensure in DC and Maryland.
3-4 years of experience working with diverse age groups and families.
Active licensure in relevant fields in DC and Maryland.
Minimum Qualifications
This position offers a hiring range of $60,632 - $107,494.
