MedStar Health is looking for a Psychotherapist to join our team in Baltimore, MD. The ideal candidate will have experience on clinical teams, tele-mental health service delivery, and a strong background in evidence-based brief and long-term psychotherapy. The role includes providing culturally informed mental health care to traditionally underserved groups. The Psychotherapist will serve as a staff psychotherapist for the MedStar Georgetown University Hospital Department of Family Medicine, MedStar Medical Group Family Medicine at Fort Lincoln, and the Family Medicine residency site for the MedStar Georgetown/MedStar Washington Hospital Center Family Medicine Residency Program. This role delivers outpatient mental health care and care coordination at Fort Lincoln. Serve as the intake coordinator, conducting outpatient diagnostic intake evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults at Fort Lincoln. Meet weekly with the integrated behavioral health team to review diagnostic findings, treatment planning, and care management for patients and families. Report on various aspects of behavioral health care. Provide culturally informed outpatient psychotherapy treatment for children, adolescents, adults, parents, and caregivers at Fort Lincoln as part of the integrated behavioral health team, including individual, couples, family, and group-based treatments. Address common presenting areas such as depression disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, stress-related disorders, substance use disorders, and chronic disease-related behavioral health concerns. Coordinate care for patients and families receiving evaluation and/or treatment in the outpatient program at Fort Lincoln, including referrals within and outside of the Family Medicine integrated behavioral health team, and coordinate with schools and educators as needed. Provide outpatient psychotherapy treatment for women receiving prenatal and postnatal care at Fort Lincoln as part of the integrated behavioral health team. Participate in Department of Family Medicine academic programming including case conferences, grand rounds, clinical trainings, and faculty, resident, and staff meetings and retreats. Qualifications
Master's degree in Clinical Social Work, Professional Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from a nationally accredited graduate program. Completion of clinical internship and supervised clinical hours sufficient for licensure in the District of Columbia and Maryland. 3-4 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Active licensure in Clinical Social Work, Professional Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy in the District of Columbia and Maryland. This position has a hiring range of $72,758 - $130,041.
