About the Role
The Company is in search of a Head of Global Employment, SVP, Legal to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic legal counsel on a wide range of workforce programs, enterprise projects, and complex personnel strategies. This role involves overseeing a global team of employment attorneys, managing high-profile investigations, and ensuring that legal guidance aligns with the company's culture and guiding principles. The Head of Global Employment will also be a key advisor to the Chief People & Culture Officer and senior executive management, particularly in the areas of senior executive employment, separation, and transition agreements, as well as enterprise-level projects impacting the workforce.
Applicants must have a JD from an accredited law school, with a minimum of 15 years' legal experience, and a significant focus on global labor and employment law, preferably in the media, entertainment, or technology sectors. The role requires a proven track record in leading large, multi-jurisdictional legal teams, managing high-profile investigations, and advising C-suite executives on employment-related strategy and risk. Strong negotiation skills, exceptional organizational and communication abilities, and experience with the employment aspects of production environments, including union and talent-related matters, are essential. The Head of Global Employment will also be responsible for managing employment-related litigation, providing legal risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with global employment laws.
