Chicago, IL (Hybrid – 3 days/week in office) Compensation:
$250K – $300K base salary + annual discretionary bonus + long-term incentive plan Reports to:

Oversees a team of 5+ About the Role A confidential, publicly traded organization is seeking a strategic and experienced Corporate Controller to lead its corporate accounting and financial reporting functions. This high-impact role offers full ownership of SEC reporting, SOX compliance, and financial operations across a complex, multi-entity business. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of driving process improvements and financial integrity. This is a unique opportunity to partner with executive leadership and influence the financial direction of a dynamic, growth-oriented company. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the corporate accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting Oversee preparation and filing of SEC reports (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and other regulatory requirements Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls Provide strategic financial insights to support executive decision-making Manage the annual audit process and relationships with external auditors Support integration of acquisitions, carveouts, and divestitures Oversee cost accounting, intercompany standardization, and ERP-related finance projects Present financial reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members Qualifications CPA required 15+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience Experience in a publicly traded company with SEC reporting responsibilities Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and internal controls Background in manufacturing, CPG, or multi-entity environments preferred Proven leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional initiatives Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills Base salary: $250K – $300K annually Annual discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance Long-term incentive plan PTO offered on an accrual basis and prorated based on hire date within calendar year Paid Sick Leave where applicable by State law Benefit offerings for full-time employment include medical, dental, and vision options Search managed by:
