Overview
The Director of Corporate Fundraising is responsible for leading and executing a comprehensive corporate engagement strategy to drive philanthropic revenue and build meaningful partnerships aligned with the mission of the organization. A key aspect of the role is understanding each donors philanthropic goals and tailoring opportunities to deepen their involvement and investment in the Clubs work. This position requires a deep understanding of event-based fundraising, a proven ability to lay the groundwork for successful solicitations, and confidence in managing the full solicitation processincluding forming effective solicitation teams and personally closing major corporate asks. Responsibilities
Corporate Engagement and Solicitation: articulate the key value of the Club that is visible in the community, represent the positive brand image of the organization Utilize key relationships with people in common with the Club; map a plan for cultivation Personalize the donors involvement in learning about the Clubs mission and offer exposure to the mission Understand the donors philanthropic goals and create alignment with the mission Experience and understanding of event-based fundraising Ability to lay the groundwork for solicitation and close corporate asks Determine the solicitation team and roles Corporate Stewardship: follow the stewardship plan, encourage and ensure corporate engagement, track donor retention rate, develop Corporate ROI reports annually Administrative Compliance: complete all required reports and administrative duties on time; gather and manage data; handle internal and external reporting; comply with policies and controls; ensure accurate paperwork and data entry; utilize BGCGTC communication tools Facility & Safety: adhere to health and safety policies; protect members, staff, equipment, and facilities; report incidents timely; maintain discipline and de-escalate conflicts Relationships: be a positive role model; maintain emotional control under pressure; represent the Boys & Girls Club positively Attendance: regular attendance and punctuality Nonessential Duties: complete all other duties as assigned Requirements
Education and Work Experience Requirements
Bachelors degree required or equivalent professional experience 3 - 5 years of fundraising or sales experience Minimum Requirements
Demonstrated fundraising experience with a track record of increasing success Experience as an individual contributor on a fundraising team Ability to work regular business hours, periodic nights, and weekends as needed Ability to lead and motivate a diverse group, including volunteers and professionals, to produce sustained results Ability to plan and drive organizational change toward strategic goals Clear written and verbal communication skills Experience managing relationships with varied community stakeholders Working knowledge of budgeting and expense management Working knowledge of fundraising or sales practices Ability to pass agency background and drug screens Reliable transportation, liability insurance, valid drivers license, and acceptable driving record Preferred Qualifications
Management or supervisory experience Experience with Raisers Edge Experience with volunteer programs Past success with competitive written RFP processes Experience in or knowledge of the Boys & Girls Club movement (national or local) Experience in a nonprofit environment Pay And Benefits
