Overview We are seeking a seasoned Quality Manager to oversee and enhance quality systems across multiple locations, with a focus on the aerospace, defense, and industrial sectors. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AS9100 compliance, quality management frameworks, and the leadership skills to drive process improvements and ensure consistent product excellence. While ITAR experience is advantageous, it is not a strict requirement for this role.

Location:

Milwaukee, WI or Chicago, IL. (Initial training period in Milwaukee, then primarily based in Chicago, IL.) Travel:

~15% Key Responsibilities

Direct, maintain, and continuously improve site quality management systems in alignment with

AS9100

and other applicable industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485). Oversee internal and external quality audits, ensuring readiness, compliance, and timely closure of findings. Support and enforce First Article Inspection (FAI) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) requirements. Develop, maintain, and control quality documentation, records, and procedures to ensure full traceability. Lead initiatives to standardize quality processes across sites, collaborating with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams. Work with suppliers to assess and improve their compliance with company and industry standards. Monitor and report quality performance metrics, using data-driven insights to identify trends and corrective actions. Coordinate and deliver quality-related training for staff to ensure understanding of processes, standards, and customer expectations. Manage procedures for inspection, measurement, and calibration of equipment. Communicate effectively with customers regarding quality issues, corrective actions, and compliance matters. Stay current with regulatory and standard updates relevant to the business. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field; equivalent experience considered. Minimum of 5–10 years of progressive quality management experience in aerospace, defense, or related manufacturing environments. Proven expertise with

AS9100

implementation, maintenance, and auditing. Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, APQP, FAI, and PPAP. Strong track record of leading audits, developing procedures, and driving corrective/preventive actions. Skilled in analyzing quality performance data and implementing improvement initiatives. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills; able to influence across all levels of the organization. ITAR/export control knowledge preferred, but not required. Professional certifications such as CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) are a plus. What We Offer
