Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related discipline; Minimum 12-15 years individual contributor experience in related network engineering areas, Minimum 3-5 years leadership role experience in similar requirements
Certification:
Base-level certification: A+, Security+, or Network+; Core functional area certification: CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE
This position is for a proposal with the United State Capital Police; current or previous experience is required. A Letter of Intent might be required to be signed to be submitted along with your resume.
Position Summary:
The Senior Lead Network Engineer provides technical leadership on major network assignments, establishing goals and plans that support USCP mission objectives through comprehensive network infrastructure management and advanced networking solutions.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related discipline
Minimum 12-15 years individual contributor experience in related network engineering areas
Minimum 3-5 years leadership role experience in similar requirements
Base-level certification: A+, Security+, or Network+
Core functional area certification: CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE
Essential Responsibilities:
Direct and control network activities with financial management, methods, and staffing oversight
Plan, design, and utilize physical and logical WAN/LAN networks, communications, and infrastructure
Collaborate with client staff to identify voice/data/video communications requirements
Conduct system-level communications systems assessments
Research and evaluate network technologies, protocols, and applications
Support USCP mission through seamless, secure connectivity to infrastructure endpoints
Plan, acquire, field, and operate network equipment and related technologies
Provide interoperability, deployment strategies, operations, and management analysis
Develop designs supporting e-commerce and electronic data interchange functions
Perform network characteristics analysis and recommend component modifications
Supervise technical personnel and coordinate complex network initiatives
