Base-level certification: A+, Security+, or Network+; Core functional area certification: Server (MCSA, MCSP, MCSE, Microsoft Certified Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate), VMware Professional, VMware Advanced Professional, or VMware Specialist Note:
This position is for a proposal with the United State Capital Police; current or previous experience is required. A Letter of Intent might be required to be signed to be submitted along with your resume. Position Summary
The Senior Lead Systems Engineer provides technical leadership on major datacenter tasks and infrastructure assignments, establishing goals and plans supporting program objectives through comprehensive systems engineering across the entire system lifecycle. Required Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related discipline Minimum 5-8 years individual contributor experience in related systems engineering areas Base-level certification: A+, Security+, or Network+ Core functional area certification: Server (MCSA, MCSP, MCSE, Microsoft Certified Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate), VMware Professional, VMware Advanced Professional, or VMware Specialist Essential Responsibilities
Plan and lead major technology assignments with performance evaluation and change recommendations Function as technical expert across multiple project assignments Perform systems engineering throughout entire system lifecycle supporting datacenter modernization Develop understanding of customer organization, goals, business needs, and enterprise architectures Establish system development and integration methodologies and standards Facilitate electronic data collection, storage, security, and integrity while ensuring appropriate access Assess USCP technology needs and introduce mission-supporting technologies Provide advanced technical support and innovation in Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery Monitor servers/services, core applications, and test catastrophic failure recovery procedures Support Contingency Operations (COOP) and Disaster Recovery Program (DRP) Monitor datacenter environment and maintain hardware inventory management Professional Standards
