Overview
Sr. Financial Management Analyst/Consultant to support PEO C4I / NAVWAR Command clients in San Diego, CA. The role involves financial planning, programming, budgeting, execution (PPBE), and programmatic support in a consulting context. The position requires four (4) to seven (7) years of related professional experience and a desire to work in consulting and finance. The candidate will work with a team and also engage directly with clients on a daily basis. Our financial management support includes development of DoD budgets and execution of annual financial spend plan requirements. We are seeking candidates who are available to begin support immediately.
Responsibilities
Direct and manage workload across multiple clients and support analysts
Enter financial data into government-approved systems for obligation and procurement (e.g., Navy Enterprise Resource Planning or Standard Procurement System, or any follow-on systems)
Prepare budget preparations, review estimates, and track costs and variances
Measure organizational performance and assess effects of programs and policies on the budget
Examine past and current budgets and research economic and financial developments that affect the organization’s spending
Adhere to guidelines and policies governing the formulation and maintenance of budgets
Manage finances across multiple funding types and coordinate with various stakeholders
Conduct financial reporting and analyses on financial issues and customer requirements and produce executive summaries
Develop and propose courses of actions (COAs) and recommendations for financial issues
Interpret and apply financial management principles, processes, techniques, policies, regulations, and organizational strategic goals

Salary Range: $95,000-$130,000
Approximate Hours per Week: 40
Travel Percentage:

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited College or University
Existing or the ability to obtain a SECRET Government Security Clearance; TS/SCI clearance when supporting TS/SCI programs/projects
Advanced level experience using MS Excel
Advanced proficiency using MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Access, Word, Outlook)
Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, etc.)
Seven (7) or more years of experience with Navy/DoD acquisitions organizations providing financial management and/or consulting experience
Four (4) or more years of experience managing direct reports
Preferred: Experience in accounting, consulting, government finance, NAVWAR financial systems, and the government PPBE process
