Inter Continental Real Estate & Development is seeking a dedicated Family Office Tax Director to lead tax compliance and planning for our operating businesses, real estate development, and property management activities. The role provides strategic direction and tactical execution for the Family Office's tax initiatives across various entity types including ultra-high net worth individuals, C and S corporations, partnerships, tax-exempt entities, and fiduciaries.
What You’ll Be Doing
Oversee tax compliance and planning for the Family Office and ICD family of companies. Provide strategic direction and coordinate tax planning across entities, including estate and gift tax planning. Lead with internal staff and manage relationships with outside professionals (lawyers, accountants, consultants). Collaborate with the Family Office General Counsel, CFO, Controller, and Company Ownership to execute tax initiatives. Foster a positive, high-performing culture across the Family Office and ICD family of companies. Coordinate and manage tax advisers on specialties (Tax Free Exchanges, Opportunity Zones, Tax Credits, SALT, etc.). Monitor and upgrade tax policies and procedures to improve performance, efficiency, and compliance. Oversee after-tax investment analysis and budgeting for estimated payments with the Family Office CFO and advisers. Work with IT to optimize technology adoption, reporting, and data confidentiality. Lead internal and external teams to achieve Family Office initiatives. Who You Are
Certified Public Accountant designation is highly desired; Master’s or other relevant degree (Tax, Accounting, Finance, Real Estate) preferred. Minimum of 10+ years of experience with entrepreneurial closely held enterprises or Family Offices; at least 2 years in a leadership role in a CPA firm, Family Office, or related business. Strong real estate tax experience across acquisitions, dispositions, development, property management, and ownership structuring. Broad general business tax experience across industries. Proficiency with Microsoft GP and Lacerte Tax; strong Excel skills. Knowledge of foreign income disclosure and reporting is a plus. Experience in or with a Family Office is preferred; adaptable to shifting priorities. Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and time-management skills; team-oriented. Ability to work in the office on a full-time basis. What We Offer
