Aurex Group is partnering with a Tier 1 Midstream and Energy Infrastructure company to hire a
Financial Director
to join the leadership team in Houston.
This person will lead and manage all finance-related functions, including major accounting, audit, tax as well as FP&A, capital markets, treasury functions, and internal controls with regards to the company’s large-scale infrastructure projects.
Overview Lead finance functions for the organization’s large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring GAAP-compliant accounting and robust financial management across divisions.
Responsibilities
Oversee the organization’s multi-divisional accounting principles, practices, procedures and initiatives in accordance with GAAP.
Lead department operations: AR, AP, financial, cost and inventory accounting, payroll, disbursements, compliance, controls and processes, financial reporting, and treasury.
Create, maintain and manage cost forecasting and reporting systems to ensure accuracy and visibility of project estimates and budgets to project scope/objectives.
Manage the accounting department functions and personnel for all domestic and international business entities.
Maintain cash flow projections and identify the cash needs of the business.
Work with Big 4 accounting firms to prepare annual Audited Financial Statements and federal and state income tax filings.
Communicate effectively with the Company’s banks, investors and insurance/surety carriers.
Work with managers of various departments to prepare operating budgets.
Qualifications
15+ years of experience, with experience within a midstream, O&G, commodity trading or energy asset company
Bachelors of Finance or Accounting from a top US university
Superior organizational, communication, interpersonal and planning skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and deliver desired results
Strong business acumen, with demonstrated ability to understand business goals
High comfort level working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Thrives in a fast-paced high growth company, with the ability to anticipate and/or react to project adjustments promptly, efficiently, and professionally
Ability to create, track, and manage multiple project schedules and budgets
Desire to work closely with all departments and geographies within the business
