The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for ensuring that electrical installations and repairs are completed safely and efficiently.
*Responsibilities*
* Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. * Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems. * Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and power tools. * Work with programmable logic controllers to ensure proper functionality of automated systems. * Perform wiring for high voltage and low voltage applications according to NEC standards. * Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure timely project completion. * Conduct renovations involving electrical work while adhering to safety protocols. * Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all hand tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
*Experience*
* Proven experience as an electrician in both industrial and commercial settings is preferred. * Familiarity with programmable logic controllers is a plus. * Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment related to electrical work. * Experience in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction documents is essential. * Knowledge of NEC regulations and safety standards is required. * Background in construction site experience is advantageous; maintenance person experience is also beneficial. * Experience with frame carpentry can be an asset for renovation projects.
