and play a pivotal role in advancing our TCIA Practice. The TCIA (Tax Credits and Incentives Advisory) Practice is made up of skilled CPAs and tax law experts with years of experience in tax planning. We provide exceptional service and insight into tax credits and accounting methods, enabling clients to uncover valuable opportunities. In this managerial role, you will establish the vision, develop strategies, and implement action plans to enhance the growth of Cherry Bekaert’s TCIA Practice while overseeing internal resources and leading IRC Section 41 Research credit engagements. Key Qualifications: Expertise in identifying Qualified Research Expenses across various industries. Proficiency in calculating the IRC Section 41 Research Credit. Understanding of Controlled Group rules in research credit calculations. Ability to communicate effectively with tax managers and VPs regarding research credit regulations. Experience collaborating with technical personnel to resolve technical uncertainties in their research. Leadership skills to guide both local and national TCIA teams. Background in documenting technical uncertainties and experimentation processes for innovative products, processes, or software designs. Capability to delegate tasks effectively while contributing directly to projects. Mentorship experience for Staff and Senior Associates. As part of this position, you will also work alongside colleagues in expanding our practice in: Accounting Methods Cost Segregation Energy Credits Energy Efficiency Deductions State Credits and Incentives What You Bring: A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, engineering, technology, or a related discipline. An advanced degree or certification such as CPA, MST, MAcc, LLM, or JD is required. A minimum of 5 years of experience in federal tax compliance or consulting. Proficient in Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs. A passion for strategic planning initiatives. Strong project management and organizational skills. Preference for candidates with experience in accounting methods such as uniform capitalization rules, tangible property regulations, and Form 3115 preparation. The salary range for this role is $105,000 to $163,400, influenced by factors such as experience, education, and location.
