Our TCIA (Tax Credits & Incentives Advisory) Practice boasts a diverse team of CPAs and tax law experts dedicated to providing expert tax planning services. In this managerial role, you'll be instrumental in shaping the vision and growth strategies for our TCIA Practice while leading research credit engagements under IRC Section 41. Your expertise will directly influence how we deliver value to our clients. The ideal candidate will have: Experience identifying Qualified Research Expenses across various industries. Proficiency in calculating the IRC Section 41 Research Credit. A solid understanding of Controlled Group rules affecting research credit calculations. The ability to communicate effectively with tax managers and tax VPs regarding research credit regulations. Experience collaborating with technical personnel on research-related uncertainties. Leadership skills to guide local and national TCIA team members. Experience documenting technical uncertainties and experimental processes for new or improved products and software. A track record of delegating tasks while actively participating in projects. A commitment to mentoring Staff and Senior Associates. Additionally, you'll be involved in the growth of our practice in areas such as: Accounting Methods Cost Segregation Energy Credits Energy Efficiency Deductions State Credits and Incentives What you bring to the role: A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, engineering, technology, or related field. An advanced degree or certification (e.g., CPA, MST, MAcc, LLM, JD). A minimum of 5 years of experience in federal tax compliance or consulting. Strong Excel skills, including proficiency with Pivot tables and VLOOKUPs. A passion for strategic planning initiatives. Exceptional project management and organizational skills. Experience with accounting methods, particularly in areas such as capitalization rules, tangible property regulations, cost segregation studies, and Form 3115 preparation. The salary range for this position is $105,000 to $163,400, determined by various factors such as experience and education.
