Marketing Manager - Center for Societal Aspiration

Position Title: Marketing Manager

Reports To: Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

Classification: Volunteer, Department Manager

Location: Remote / Virtual

Organization Description:

The Center for Societal Aspiration (CSA) is a startup nonprofit organization developing integrated programs supporting individuals and communities - from trauma recovery to entrepreneurship - alongside bold research in social science and technology that improves societal well-being.

CSA operates innovative, lean programs, including:

  • CSA Social Impact Fellowship
  • CSA Aspiration Studios
  • CSA Human Development & Applied Practice
  • CSA Social Enterprise Incubator
  • CSA Society & Technology Research Lab

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead CSA’s digital and brand marketing efforts across all programs and platforms.
  • Develop and manage a content calendar for social media, newsletters, and campaigns.
  • Create and distribute compelling, mission-aligned content to increase awareness and engagement.
  • Oversee CSA’s website updates, landing pages, and basic analytics.
  • Coordinate storytelling efforts, including fellow/volunteer spotlights and program features.
  • Support fundraising, recruitment, and program outreach through targeted communications.
  • Manage CSA’s brand assets and ensure consistency in visual and messaging standards.
  • Collaborate with program leaders to promote events, launches, and milestones.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in nonprofit marketing, social media management, or digital communications.
  • Strong writing, content creation, and design sensibility.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Wix, Mailchimp, and Hootsuite (or equivalents).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently in a virtual environment.
  • Passion for storytelling, branding, and amplifying social impact work.

Commitment:

  • Estimated commitment: 6-8 hours per week (virtual, flexible).
  • Attend weekly coordination meetings and monthly CSA leadership meetings.
