In this role, you will support the lead teacher in creating a safe, enriching, and stimulating environment for toddlers. The ideal candidate will have a love for working with young children, a patient demeanor, and a willingness to contribute to the overall success of the classroom.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in daily classroom activities and lesson implementation.
- Provide individualized support to children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
- Encourage childrens social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through hands-on activities and positive interaction.
- Foster a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Help supervise children during playtime, meals, and transitions.
- Collaborate with other staff members to support classroom operations and maintain a clean, organized space.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding childrens progress and milestones.
- Assist with record-keeping and documentation of developmental observations.
- Implement classroom routines and contribute to a structured, consistent environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associates degree or higher in Early Childhood Education is a plus).
- Previous experience working with toddlers or in a daycare setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and a nurturing, patient approach.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from the lead teacher.
- Knowledge of child development and early childhood education practices.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
