Job Summary

The Deputy Court Clerk II position performs on-site support related to adjudicating criminal justice cases filed in the Municipal Court. This position provides advanced criminal case processing, confidential document management, and extensive customer service while navigating multiple technology platforms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following duties and responsibilities are illustrative of the primary functions of this position and are not intended to be all inclusive.

Assist customers with accurate information and options regarding court policies and procedures. Perform data entry requiring changes to files and the computer system records, prepare and enter dispositions, court orders and payment arrangements in the computer system. Process court payments and transactions involving cash, surety and personal recognizance bonds. Explain subpoena process, mediation, Restorative Justice, and alternative sentencing programs Maintain juror list; coordinate jury trials and juror assignments, respond to jury-related questions. Administer, monitor and complete critical departmental processes, i.e. research, follow-up, compile, and disseminate information related to the court proceedings. Confirm compliance with disposition conditions. Utilize CCIC/NCIC software for warrant-related tasks and defendant identification purposes. Help coordinate electronic conviction reporting, obtaining driving records, and driver history corrections. Facilitate zoom and AVIS hearing sessions, including the creation of documents, hosting, courtroom clerk, and other clerk positions Help with onboarding new employees, training, and continuous improvement of the Clerks/' Office/'s procedures. May help compile information for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting. May help process accounts payable and petty cash. Coordinate processing of prisoners with Larimer County Detention Center and the HUB. Assist private attorneys, including but not limited to: accepting attorney entries, setting attorney pre-trial conferences and performing follow-up duties, and obtaining court-appointed attorneys. May help process all aspects of Civil Infraction and Public Nuisance cases. May help customers with Automated Vehicle Identification Systems (AVIS) with accurate information and options regarding court policies and procedures. May help provide internal customer service to different city departments with accurate information and options regarding court policies and procedures regarding the Automated Vehicle Identification Systems (AVIS). Process motions from defendants, Police and City Attorney's Office. Help investigate wrongful payments and if a refund is necessary, follow the court's policies and procedures. Strong understanding of State Law related to Municipal Court jurisdiction Ability to translate (Spanish to English) helpful, but not required. Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED and or functionally related licenses or certificates High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

Experience Requirements

5 or more years of extensive customer service and previous judicial related experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
