To include license assignment, monitoring, and reporting to identify any underutilized licenses or potential overages that might require adjustment. Ensure systems security compliance and effectively integrated with current applications. Troubleshoot licenses and access issues. Responsible for supporting and overseeing the procurement and renewal of assigned enterprise endpoint software installed on a user device or assigned to a user. Ensuring proper allocation of licenses to users and maintaining accurate records of license usage. Track the number of licenses available and ensuring compliance with licensing agreements. This includes managing endpoint software license systems, such as Adobe Console, AP Style Guide, and GoToMyPC, while ensuring these systems are secure, compliant, and functioning optimally. Assist with invoicing program areas for licenses used. The staff member is responsible for user Access and License Usage Management for software assigned. Work with End User Services (EUS) Service Desk to assign and revoke user assigned software licenses as appropriate. Ensuring that only authorized employees have access based on their roles and job functions. Additionally, the staff member will monitor software license usage to ensure efficiency and compliance, generating reports on usage trends, license consumption, and identify underutilized or overused licenses that may require adjustments. Assists with Collaborate with IT support teams to address technical issues. This includes resolving issues such as users being unable to access software, troubleshooting license conflicts, and coordinating with vendors for software-specific technical support. Prepare and maintain system documentation for applications supported. Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures. Provide appropriate administrative documentation/project communication. Other duties as assigned; employee will work under limited supervision, following established policies, procedures and guidelines. Position requires the ability to work independently in establishing priorities and responding to agency needs.
Minimum and Additional Requirements State Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and experience in computer system development and modification. Relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis. Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and experience in computer system development and modification in either an on-premises, cloud-based, or hybrid environment. Experienced knowledge of computer or network hardware, software, operating systems, programming languages, or other information technology tools/resources. Ability to solve basic to moderately complex problems and apply critical thinking skills to needs or problems, both individually and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Knowledge of IT development, implementation, and documentation in an enterprise environment. Ability to establish working relationships with work teams, customers, and vendors. The employee is expected to manage multiple on-going projects. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to work independently in establishing priorities and responding to agency needs. Minimal amount of travel will be required. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and three (3) years' work experience in information technology (IT); associate's degree in computer science or related field and five (5) years' work experience in IT; associate's degree in computer science or related field and five (5) years' work experience in IT; high school diploma and seven (7) years' experience in IT. Strong understanding of Windows Desktop OS and desktop enterprise software applications. Basic understanding of network concepts and active directory. Experience with user software license assignment and management in an enterprise environment.
