Description: Agile5 Technologies is seeking a skilled Mid-Level Systems Administrator to install, configure, and maintain operating system workstations and servers. This role is essential for supporting a multi-enclave environment and ensuring system performance, data integrity, and security through routine audits and standardized procedures. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong background in virtualization technologies and a commitment to developing and maintaining comprehensive system configuration databases.
Mid-level Systems Administrator Job Duties:
Install, configure, and maintain operating system workstations and servers, including web servers. Perform software installations and upgrades in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimum performance levels. Ensure workstation and server data integrity through appropriate software and hardware solutions. Ensure data and media recoverability through system backups and database archive operations. Develop and promote standard operating procedures and a comprehensive hardware and software configuration database. Conduct routine hardware and software audits to ensure compliance with standards and configurations. Support analytical tool infrastructure. Participate in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities. Respond to and resolve critical incidents within designated resolution timelines.
Security Clearance Requirements: Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) required. Candidates must already possess this clearance level upon applying and be able to pass a polygraph examination.
Experience Requirements: Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration. Candidates must have experience with virtualization technologies and an understanding of security requirements in government environments.
Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Desired Skills / Qualifications: Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (VSphere, VXRail, Proxmox) is essential. The ideal candidate will also have experience with basic network configuration, system monitoring, backup and recovery procedures, and scripting (PowerShell, Bash). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, SC2S, C2S), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), configuration management tools, LDAP, Splunk, DevSecOps, and SAFe Agile is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long durations of time. Also, must be able to continuously operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
