Construction Project Manager

If you're a seasoned Project Manager with experience overseeing complex construction projects in educational or institutional settings, and you're ready to lead multiple jobs from planning through closeout, this role could be a perfect fit.

NOTE: As a Project Manager, you'll oversee the construction and delivery of both new construction and renovation projects ranging from $1M to $15M+. You'll manage 3-6 projects concurrently, working closely with superintendents, subcontractors, clients, and internal teams to ensure successful execution from pre-construction through closeout.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with superintendents to develop and implement project safety plans.
  • Lead negotiations on change orders and financial disputes.
  • Ensure compliance with MBE/WBE and EEO/Affirmative Action requirements.
  • Review construction plans and break down scopes into trade packages.
  • Assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and present project closeout documentation.
  • Support estimating and preconstruction efforts as needed.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in construction project management.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, cost control, and scheduling.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and construction management software.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • A collaborative mindset and a commitment to delivering quality work.
