Overview
We are seeking an entry-level Human Resources Specialist to join a fast-paced, hands-on team supporting operations across two Southern California locations. This role is a great opportunity for someone looking to step into their first full-time HR position with a well-established organization that values structure, process, and effective communication.
Key Details
Base pay range: $25.00/hr - $33.00/hr. New grads welcome. Location: Southern California (two locations). This Jobot job is hosted by Carrie Powell.
Responsibilities
- Manage onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring smooth integration into the company culture.
- Address pay-related concerns and provide payroll support.
- Administer payroll processes in compliance with California law and company policy.
- Maintain accurate employee records and process pay changes, benefits updates, and other personnel requests.
- Guide employees through benefits enrollment and communicate updates clearly and promptly.
- Coordinate with various departments, including warehouse, sales, and merchandising teams, to ensure HR support meets diverse needs.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource on California labor laws and workplace regulations.
- Maintain a structured, process-driven approach while upholding standards and policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and HR-related experience.
- Strong working knowledge of California labor law.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with a diverse employee population.
- Process-oriented mindset with the ability to enforce standards firmly and fairly.
- Previous payroll and HRIS experience preferred; Paycom experience a plus.
