Director - Platform Engineering & Development Operations We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Platform Engineering & Development Operations Leader to oversee the architecture, operation, and continuous improvement of our application technology platforms and DevOps pipelines. This role blends technical leadership with strategic oversight, ensuring that our mission-critical enterprise applications and infrastructure are reliable, secure, scalable, and efficiently delivered. Key Responsibilities

Lead the Platform Engineering and DevOps teams, setting vision, strategy, and priorities for application platforms, infrastructure, and pipelines. Define and implement the platform and DevOps roadmap in alignment with business and product objectives. Foster a culture of automation, scalability, resilience, and continuous improvement across development and operational workflows. Partner with architecture teams to ensure technical governance and alignment with enterprise standards. Platform Engineering

Oversee design, implementation, and operations for containerized platforms (e.g., Red Hat OpenShift, Nutanix NKP), virtualization stacks, and hybrid cloud deployments. Ensure platform scalability, availability, and security for applications such as Fortna WES/WCS, AutoStore, and related third-party systems. Manage lifecycle and capacity planning for compute, storage, and networking layers. Own platform observability, performance monitoring, and proactive incident prevention. Application Technology Operations

Manage and optimize application hosting environments (VM-based, containerized, and bare-metal). Coordinate deployments and upgrades for mission-critical enterprise systems. Establish operational standards for high availability, disaster recovery, and failover testing. Collaborate with application teams to optimize performance, reduce downtime, and streamline deployments. DevOps & CI/CD

Own the design, implementation, and maintenance of end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git, ArgoCD, Ansible, Helm, and Kubernetes Operators. Drive infrastructure-as-code adoption for consistent, repeatable environment provisioning. Integrate automated testing, security scanning, and compliance checks into pipelines. Work with Development and QA teams to enhance release quality and accelerate delivery. Security, Compliance & Governance

Ensure platforms and pipelines meet security and compliance standards (IAM, VPM, BCM, SDL, SSC, CKM, etc.). Partner with InfoSec teams to implement DevSecOps best practices. Maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure change management processes (TCM) are followed. Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master’s preferred. Experience: 10+ years in IT, with at least 5 years in platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE leadership. Proven track record managing hybrid infrastructure platforms (containerized, VM-based, and on-prem hardware). Deep experience with CI/CD tools, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and infrastructure automation. Strong background in application operations for enterprise systems. Technical Skills: OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, VMware/virtualization stacks. Git, ArgoCD, Ansible, Helm, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD technologies. Observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, etc.). Networking fundamentals (VLANs, load balancing, firewalls). Cloud experience (AWS/Azure) a plus. Leadership Skills: Strong people management and team-building capabilities. Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
