Overview

Job title: Regional Chief Estimator. Group: CCI ESS Estimating. Employment type: Regular. Location: United States - Nationwide. This role manages and administers the estimating functions in the assigned region, area or group to include operating budgets, staffing assignments, and work assignments. It implements established estimating policies to meet corporate objectives and provides administrative and technical assistance in negotiating purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders during procurement. It coordinates with design discipline leads for cost effectiveness and constructability in proposals and ensures standardized use and maintenance of the cost database estimating system. Responsibilities

Manage and administer estimating functions in the assigned region, area or group, including budgets, staffing and work assignments. Implement established estimating policies to meet corporate objectives. Collaborate with project managers to provide administrative and technical assistance in negotiating purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders during procurement. Supervise the preparation of market cost studies, materials and methods, and recommend changes to the database. Review project details with regional leadership, provide recommendations, and collaboratively determine strategies, techniques, and resources needed. Coordinate with design discipline leads for cost effectiveness and constructability in proposals. Ensure standardized use and maintenance of the cost database estimating system and maintain historical data for estimating man-hours and bid results by project types (hard bid, design/build, CMAR, opinions of probable construction cost, etc.). Review all final estimates and proposal packages to ensure accuracy and completeness for formal quotation and presentation. Contact subcontractors and suppliers for outsource pricing. Perform additional duties as required. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. 10 years of related experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management capacity. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. Travel frequency depends on duties and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Preferred Qualifications: Must reside near a regional office (Denver, CO; Rancho Cucamonga, CA; Carlsbad, CA; Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Maitland, FL; Syracuse, NY; Fairfax, VA; Boston, MA; Chelmsford, MA; Boston, MA).
