Overview
Regional Chief Estimator at CDM Smith. Manages and administers the estimating functions in the assigned region, area or group, including operating budgets, staffing assignments, and work assignments. Implements established estimating policies to meet corporate objectives. Works with project managers to provide administrative and technical assistance in negotiating purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders during procurement. Supervises the preparation of market cost studies, materials and methods, and recommends changes to the database. Maintains all historical data for estimating man-hours across various types of estimates and bid results by project. Reviews final estimates and proposal packages for accuracy and completeness. Provide close coordination with design discipline leads for cost effectiveness and constructability in proposals. Ensure standardized use and maintenance of the cost database estimating system. Contacts subcontractors and suppliers for outsource pricing. Perform other duties as required. Job Details

High School diploma or equivalent. 10 years of related experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management capacity. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. Travel frequency depends on duties and workload. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Preferred Qualifications
Must reside near a regional office (Denver, CO; Rancho Cucamonga, CA; Carlsbad, CA; Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Maitland, FL; Syracuse, NY; Fairfax, VA; Boston, MA; Chelmsford, MA). Experience in wastewater industry. EEO Statement
