What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Oversee $1.5-$2M in account revenue as the primary strategic counsel for clients
Develop coherent strategies for clients and projects while managing key accounts
Generate business revenue by expanding the scope of work and bringing in new clients
Mentor and develop staff, conducting performance reviews and setting objectives
Represent the employer and clients at industry events to build networking contacts
What is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field
Minimum 15 years of experience in communications, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
Proven ability to build relationships with top-tier reporters and editors for high-impact placements
Extensive writing and editing experience across various print and online media
Demonstrated leadership in managing strategic communications and media relations programs
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience with social media influencer engagement and content campaigns
Innovative thinker with a track record of translating strategic ideas into actionable plans
Familiarity with setting up measurement programs to evaluate communications ROI
