Company Overview Our client is a rapidly expanding logistics and drayage company based in Atlanta GA, They have become a trusted logistics provider to major automotive brands operating with an asset-based fleet and a growing brokerage division,

Position Overview As the highest-ranking executive, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for defining and executing companies long-term strategic direction, driving overall organizational performance, and leading the company through its next phase of growth. The CEO will oversee a high-performing leadership team, ensure compliance and safety across all operations, and cultivate a results-driven, innovative, and accountable corporate culture.

This role is ideally suited for a seasoned executive with deep expertise in transportation, drayage, or fleet operations, and a proven ability to manage and grow asset-intensive businesses in fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a clear strategic vision aligned with companies priorities to support long-term growth and national expansion.

Operational Oversight: Drive cross-functional alignment and efficiency across operations, finance, safety, HR, technology, and customer service.

Financial Management: Ensure fiscal discipline through robust budget oversight, forecasting, and full P&L accountability.

Regulatory Compliance & Safety: Uphold the highest standards of compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and employment laws; prioritize a strong safety culture across the organization.

External Partnerships & Growth: Represent the company in high-level negotiations, strategic partnerships, and key customer engagements; lead business development and service diversification initiatives.

Organizational Development: Lead workforce planning, talent development, and succession strategy; foster a high-performance culture with clear accountability and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the face of the company to clients, regulators, investors, community leaders, and industry partners.

Board Communication: Provide consistent, transparent updates to the Board on strategic milestones, business performance, risks, and key developments.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.

10-15 years of executive leadership in transportation, drayage, or fleet operations.

At least 5 years leading cross-functional teams with enterprise-wide responsibilities.

Demonstrated success in improving operational efficiency, financial performance, and organizational culture.

Expertise in regulatory compliance (FMCSA, DOT), transportation logistics, and operational technologies.

Strong strategic planning, communication, and negotiation abilities.

Proven ability to lead through organizational change and build consensus across diverse teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Business (MBA or equivalent).

15+ years of experience in the transportation or logistics industry.

7-10 years in a senior executive leadership role.

Track record of successful business development and scaling operations nationally.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $200k to $222k. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
