Overview
This position is a full time and/or part-time role working as an employee of Kranz Consulting while providing fractional consulting services to client companies. The Senior Accountant collaborates closely with the senior management of client organizations and is suited for a seasoned professional with strong Finance & Accounting experience.
Base pay range $95,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Accounts Payable – receive invoices, match to Purchase Orders, route for approvals and payment, enter into the accounting system, prepare weekly accounts payable listing, identify vendors for payment, ensure timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices; process expense reimbursements and prepare 1099s.
Payroll – prepare and process payroll for client companies including all necessary journal entries.
Cash Management – assist with bank transaction activities, prepare weekly cash forecasting report, prepare cash transfer requests, reconcile cash accounts, and route checks for signature.
Accounts Receivable – receive checks and prepare weekly cash collections report with aged receivables; assist with collections as needed.
Maintain month-end account reconciliations to ensure financial records comply with policy and procedures.
Assist the finance department in activities as needed.
Assist with tax support including Sales & Use tax, Delaware Franchise tax, and unsecured property taxes (571L).
Perform month-end activities and balance sheet reconciliations; maintain accrued prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting
4+ years of accounting experience
Proficiency with accounting and transaction systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, Bill.com, Expensify) in a user capacity
Cloud-based accounting applications and platforms experience
Prior consulting experience is preferred
Strong organizational, analytical, and responsive communication skills
Detail-oriented; ability to work independently and as part of a team; proactive problem-solver and quick learner
Excellent PC skills with MS Office and Google Suite
