to provide general clerical support which includes providing reception duties, maintaining records, scheduling meetings, and typing and/or word-processing documents within the Directors Office. The
Administrative Specialist I
can switch gears at a moment's notice, will work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and work under the direction of the Operations Manager. DPD is looking to fill this position as a Term-Limited Temporary position or Special Duty Assignment.

Skilled in and knowledgeable of general office procedures, equipment, and administration. Skilled in time management and organization skills. To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate knowledge, skill, and ability to
perform
the
following: Perform general office functions such as answering phones, photo copying, e-mailing, and processing/distributing/routing incoming and outgoing mail. Compose, draft, type, proofread and edit documents. Maintain security and confidentiality of highly sensitive communications. Schedule meetings and reserve conference rooms, schedule appointments and maintain calendars. Utilize various computer programs to maintain, update, enter, and retrieve data including MS Word, Outlook, and Excel programs. Inventory, order, collect and distribute supplies and/or equipment. Assist with special projects as needed and perform other duties as assigned. Increasingly responsible office or administrative support experience with a group or team of professional staff. Strong written and spoken communication skills. Demonstrated ability maintaining a professional demeanor and providing timely and reliable customer service. Be detail-oriented, organized, and use initiative to solve problems. Experience maintaining confidentiality, while sharing the right information with the appropriate people. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a busy environment with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm. Basic knowledge of accounting and mathematics. Demonstrated comfort with the use of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, email, and electronic record filing systems to create correspondence and send and receive information. SCHEDULE
AND
LOCATION: This is an in-person position, reporting to the Directors Office located at Dexter Horton Building, 710 Second Avenue, Seattle.
The typical workweek is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position is non-exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is eligible for overtime.
SALARY AND BENEFITS: In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, this salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
