King County's Business Resource Center (BRC) seeks to hire highly qualified and energetic Business System Analysts to fill two Term Limited Temporary (TLT) or Special Duty Assignments (SDA) within the department . These positions are anticipated to last until January 31, 2025, with the possibility of being extended. The PeopleSoft HR team at King County is responsible for implementing labor contracts, delivering user support, conducting thorough system testing, and implementing modifications and enhancements to King County's PeopleSoft Human Resource module. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will play a crucial role in gathering requirements and effectively managing assigned projects from initiation to completion. You will have the opportunity to work independently on projects and collaborate with fellow team members for successful implementation. Provide comprehensive system and user support for PeopleSoft HR and King County's business processes. Develop specifications to outline intricate system projects, workflow processes, and HR data processing. Lead and facilitate group discussions to identify business requirements and assess system and business impacts. Devise effective solutions to meet specific business needs. Conduct detailed functional testing using industry best practice methodologies. Perform configurations and make necessary data changes in the PeopleSoft HR environment. Identify the root cause of production issues and implement appropriate resolutions. Possess exceptional analytical skills to effectively interpret extensive employee data. Demonstrate the ability to rapidly grasp intricate business processes. Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of PeopleSoft Human Resource processes. Additional qualifications that will be helpful in this role: Possess extensive expertise in HR business processes. Demonstrate a strong ability to create solutions for application modifications, interfaces, and reports. Knowledge of Human Resource business process workflows. Maintain a customer-focus approach, actively fostering and nurturing positive relationships with agencies and staff. Display adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a dynamic and multifaceted work environment. Effectively engage and sustain relationships with individuals from diverse cultures and socio-economic backgrounds. Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Showcase advanced proficiency with business applications, including the Microsoft Office suite. PREFERED SKILLS: Two years of experience providing system analyst support of PeopleSoft or comparable Human Resources/Payroll systems; OR any equivalent combination of experience and education which provides the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge, and ability required to perform the work. WORK SCHEDULE: This position typically reports Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. It is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position. This position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and not overtime-eligible. UNION STATUS: This position is not represented by a union. WORK LOCATION : The incumbent will have a hybrid work schedule and may work remotely and onsite. The primary onsite location is 401 Fifth Avenue, Suite 600, Seattle, WA 98104. Teleworking Requirement The work associated with this position is currently being performed in a hybrid fashion including teleworking, complemented with onsite work and meetings as needed. Frequency of onsite work will vary based on business and operational needs. Employees must reside in Washington State and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
