IT Product Manager, Workday (HCM) — Salesforce Overview Digital Enterprise Technology (DET) is looking for an experienced Workday Product Manager with a long history of building scalable and innovative solutions for human resources. This role supports the Global Employee Success (HR) team at Salesforce. The candidate should thrive in a dynamic, high-growth environment and manage complex projects and teams in support of Talent and Recruiting strategy. Deep expertise with Workday HCM, Position Management, Security, and touchpoints into Workday Financials, Total Rewards, and Recruiting is preferred. Key Responsibilities Develop and drive the delivery of the current and future state product roadmap, synthesizing business needs over the short and long term while managing delivery expectations; serve as the primary contact to business partners. Review vision with business partners to align on objectives around prioritization, time to market, effort, and scope. Deliver to plan and resolve basic issues; manage tradeoffs between scope and schedule. Communicate all project aspects to customers and delivery teams; identify themes and industry trends to influence product-level vision; drive feature assessment and uptake. Own sprint planning, backlog management, and delivery by defining user stories and acceptance criteria aligned to business vision. Ensure solutions promote simplification, scalability, accuracy, and higher productivity for users. Review technical solutions for compliance with business processes, IT standards, and objectives. Translate key business needs into functional and technical requirements and specifications. Experience/Skills Required 5+ years of configuration and/or implementation experience with Workday modules (HCM and Security preferred). Proven experience with process improvement or transformation. Ability to make decisions and recommendations on technology strategies. Business analysis skills including requirements gathering and guiding customers from idea to delivery. Excellent written and spoken communication; strong listening skills; ability to present complex ideas clearly to non-technical audiences. Demonstrated success as a team player with virtual and global cross-functional teams; strong interpersonal and stakeholder negotiation skills. Knowledge of project management concepts and techniques. Experience/Skills Desired Experience with Agile/SCRUM techniques. Workday HCM Certification; Workday Security knowledge. Knowledge of Enterprise applications/modules: HCM; Workday cross-functional touchpoints between HCM and Financials. Experience with EDH/EDW data hubs and warehouses; knowledge of web and cloud applications. Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
