Lakewood Brewing Company
Lakewood Brewing Company is a 100% family-owned business, located just outside Dallas, TX, where we've been brewing seriously fun beers since 2012! We are looking for a motivated and passionate individual to join our Taproom team. As a member of the Taproom staff, you will represent Lakewood Brewing, making sure every customer has an exceptional experience. We are open 7 days a week and often host private events and large brewery events. Ideal candidates should be passionate about craft beer, friendly, and flexible.
Job Requirements:
-Verify identification and age requirements of customers -Enforce company policies and state laws regarding the consumption of alcohol -Take drink and food orders with a positive and helpful attitude -Serve guests alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages -Open and maintain tabs throughout your shift -Enter food / beverage orders, prepare checks and collect payments -Assess guests' needs and preferences to make recommendations
-Wash and maintain clean glassware and a clean bar, Taproom and Beer Garden at all times -Have an in depth knowledge of craft beer, wine, cider -Always be focused on crafting the best guest experience -Comply with all food and beverage regulations -Build rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere -Be guest oriented and a positive representative of Lakewood Brewing
Prior bartending experience required, prior craft brewery knowledge preferred but not required (Cicerone, BJCP, or other beer specific certification is a plus), positive attitude, friendly and excellent communicator, passionate, skills in listening to preferences and making recommendations on beer and food, organized, team player, weekend and holiday availability required.
Essentials:
TABC certified Food Handlers Certificate Cicerone Certified Beer Server (This certification is due 30 days after you've been hired. We will cover the cost of the online exam. Willing to have a background check run before being employed. Experience using a POS system Work Environment:

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job: Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and move 165 lb. kegs of beer. Must be able to stand, walk, lift and bend repeatedly throughout shift.
