Overview
Salesforce seeks a visionary Vice President of Events Technology and Digital Experiences to shape our global digital and in-person event strategy. You will lead a consolidated organization that includes Events Technology (Product Management, Technical Operations, and Program Management) and a centralized User Experience & Design team (UX, UI, and Research). You will bring a consistent design language and user-centric approach to our event technology platforms and other key digital marketing channels, including our websites. Responsibilities Strategic Product Vision & Roadmap: Define and champion a multi-year product vision and roadmap for Events Technology, aligning with Salesforce's marketing, customer success, and technology strategies. Plan for in-person, hybrid, and virtual events. Product Development & Innovation: Lead ideation, design, and development of innovative event technology products and features. Drive adoption of emerging technologies (AI, personalization, immersive experiences, advanced analytics) to enhance attendee engagement and deliver measurable outcomes. Organizational Leadership: Product Management: Architect and mentor a high-performing product management organization with a customer-centric approach to discovery, definition, and delivery. Product Technical Operations: Oversee the technical operations of all event platforms ensuring reliability and scalability for global events, including monitoring, incident management, and optimization. Program Management: Lead a team of Program Managers to ensure successful execution of complex initiatives and cross-functional alignment. User Interface / User Experience: Lead a team to define and manage cross-channel User Experiences, UI Design, AI Conversational Experiences, Design Systems and User Research for Digital Marketing Technology.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Engineering, IT, and other units to integrate event technology into customer journeys and business processes. Serve as a strategic partner to executives and leaders. Vendor & Ecosystem Management: Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with event technology vendors and partners, ensuring value and alignment with Salesforce architecture. Data-Driven Decision Making: Establish analytics and reporting to measure effectiveness and optimize experiences based on data. Talent Development: Recruit, retain, and develop talent across Product Management, Technical Operations, Program Management, and UX/UI. Operational Excellence: Drive efficiency and automation across Events Technology, with best practices in Agile, DevOps, and incident management.
Required Skills & Experience
15+ years of progressive experience in technology leadership with a focus on large-scale enterprise software product development. 10+ years of direct experience leading product development, technical operations, or program management in events technology, digital marketing technology, or related experiential technology domains. Extensive experience in UX/UI design with prior leadership of design teams preferred. Proven track record delivering complex, scalable technology products and platforms from concept to launch and ongoing operations. Deep expertise in technology product management, including user research, requirements, roadmaps, and agile delivery. Strong understanding of the event technology ecosystem (registration platforms, virtual event solutions, CMS, mobile apps, CRM integration). Ability to lead and inspire cross-functional, global teams across Product Management, Technical Operations, Program Management, Engineering, and Design. Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach. Experience managing large technology budgets and negotiating with vendors.
