Lead .Net Developer position in Madison, WI. This is a hybrid on-site role with no remote option. The project is the Vocational Information System for Tracking Advancement (VISTA) modernization for the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. Overview
12+ Month contract. This role requires candidates to work on our W2. Current WI residents only; no relocation. In-person interviews will be conducted in Madison. Must attend all scheduled meetings during DWD standard working hours (7:45 am 4:30 pm Central Time). Responsibilities Lead developer on a large application development project, including modernization and redesign to meet modern UX and workflow standards. Work with a cross-functional team to implement a material design library and component framework (MudBlazor). Serve as a .NET expert with extensive ASP.NET Core (v6v8) experience. Work with Azure SQL cloud database solutions and migrate/ integrate data as needed. Use GitHub for distributed version control and build/maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions). Collaborate on application design and development, integration with 3rd party internal/external systems, and data conversion from Oracle to Azure SQL. Build and maintain cloud computing environments; analyze legacy code and requirements. Contribute to documentation, unit testing, and cross-testing best practices; develop and maintain web services and system integrations; support OLTP processes.
Required Qualifications
Experience as a lead developer in a large application development project, with modernization experience and cross-functional UX redesign, using a material design library/framework (MudBlazor) at least 2 years. NET expert with extensive experience using ASP.NET Core v6v8 at least 2 years. Experience with Azure SQL cloud database solutions at least 1 year. Experience with GitHub distributed version control and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions at least 1 year.
Nice to Have
Experience working in an Agile software development environment. Experience using LINQ or Entity Framework. Previous experience providing services for government clients; experience with DWD environments is valuable.
