Senior Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to handle the controllership duties of the company.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
• Month and end-year process
• Accounts payable/receivable
• General ledger
• Revenue and expenditure variance analysis
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Check runs
• Fixed asset activity
• Debt activity
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
• Coordinate and complete annual audits
• Provide recommendations
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
• Liaison with 3rd party to implement states sales tax process

Qualifications:

• Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor
• Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• BS degree in Accounting or Finance
• Understanding of State sales tax
